Easy Brownies
These are the brownies I grew up on. Thanks, Mom!
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup Crisco oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1⅓ cups self-rising flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Pinch of salt
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Steps
- Combine all ingredients and mix well by hand.
- Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan and sprinkle with nuts if desired.
- Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes or until desired doneness. Brownies should be a little gooey in the center.
