Easy Brownies

These are the brownies I grew up on. Thanks, Mom!

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup Crisco oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1⅓ cups self-rising flour
  • ⅓ cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Steps

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well by hand.
  2. Pour into a 9" x 13" greased pan and sprinkle with nuts if desired.
  3. Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes or until desired doneness. Brownies should be a little gooey in the center.
